Lasik & Refractive Services
Freedom from glasses and contact lenses has been a dream for people with spectacle power. we now have safe answers like LASIK, PRK and ICLs for most of the spectale wears.
Both LASIK and PRK use an excimer laser, which is used to change the shape of the cornea (the transparent front window of the eye). We use an extremely fast and accurate machine, which has been approved by FDA of USA. There are millions of happy patients in the world over have under- gone these surgeries successfully.
For very high numbers and in patients whose corneas are not thick enough for these surgeries, we now have options like ICLs. An ICL is an artificial lens, which is inserted into the eye and in front of your natural lens. This is different from an IOL which is the lens used in cataract surgery. Imagine the change in life style of a patient who has spent all his life using -20.0 spectacle numbers. The joy of freedom from glasses, as some patients have told us is like throwing away crutches.
